Mode of Application

All DUCE programmes are advertised in the local media (newspapers) and on the University website. All applications are submitted by filling the requisite application forms and not in the form of letter. Applicants are urged to apply after the has been advertised and not before and must observe the application deadline set for each programme.Once the advertisement is out, applicants are adviced to obtain Application Forms and Instructions to Applicant document from the Directorate of Undergraduate Studies, Admission section, Administration buildin, Office No. 105, University of Dar es Salaam, or through the following address:

Application forms and instructions to applicants document can be obtained at the offices of the Reginal Education Officers in Mainland Tanzania, and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education for Zanzibar, or can be downloaded from the college website.

When filling the form, applicants must:

1. Careful read the advertisement inviting applications and Instructions to Applicants document accompanying the application forms before attempting to fill the forms.
2. Give full participants of citizenship by enclosing a copy of birth certificate
3. Giive full particulars of educational qualifications by enclosing photocopies of the relevant certificates, for example C.S.E.E., A.C.S.E.E., or equivalent, etc. Applicants with A-level secondary school qualifications other than othose issued by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) must submit a translation by the NECTA andicating equivalent grades to Tanzanian ones. This is in addition to submission of the original grades.
4. Pay a non-refundable application fee of Tshs 20,000/= for Tanzanians and USD 45 for Non-Tanzanias.
5. Deposit all fees into the University of Dar es Salaam NBC Bank Account number 040103001709 (UDSM branch)  and submit the original pay-in slip together with the application form. For those using telegraphic transfer the Swift Code is NLCBTZTX.
6. Ascertain themselves that they posses the minimum entrance qualifications before paying the appliucation fee as the fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
